A shared route through the landscape

Several children with bicycles stand or ride beside a narrow waterway. The pale road forms a crosswise axis while the canal leads into depth. The group becomes part of a landscape whose lines accommodate different directions of movement.

Vraja is another spelling of Braj, the region around Mathura. Often described through its Krishna pilgrimage sites, it appears here in an archival scene of schoolchildren returning home. The image adds an everyday journey from school to that religious map.
