A closer look at the work
A lower rooftop with strong red elements sits between high facades. Repeated windows make the view resemble an open shaft. Seen from above, it excludes the sky. Small structures and varying roof surfaces interrupt the surrounding buildings' strict order.
The provocative title accompanies a photograph without a definite visible narrative. Its tension comes from neighbouring windows and the enclosed emptiness between them. Visibility and seclusion occupy the same urban space, while the lives behind those windows remain unknown.
