Reflections of India
Sex on the beach, Indien

A closer look at the work
Palm fronds enter a very wide, narrow frame from both sides. Pale turquoise water lies between them, interrupted by rounded and angular coastal stones. A slender palm trunk rises near the centre. Dark leaves frame cool water, countered by warm brown rocks.
The elevated view layers nearby leaves, solid stones and soft water. The title adds an association without confirming an action. Relationships between visible surfaces sustain the image independently of the expectation created by its name.
