Urban · Visions of Time
Skate Park, Schweiz

A closer look at the work
A red curved skating bowl sits within green ground beneath trees and a bright light against dark sky. Its rounded edges occupy the lower image, countered by irregular vegetation. Warm light separates the built hollow from its setting.
The bowl presents possible movement without a visible user. The eye can follow its curves and anticipated routes. Emptiness makes form easier to examine, turning a structure for play into a sculptural body that suggests motion through its shape.
