Reflections of India
Skyline of Jaipur, Indien
2011
A closer look at the work
Countless lights spread across a long panorama. Brighter roads cross dense buildings without one structure dominating. A broad calm sky darkens upwards, interrupted by a slim bright streak at the upper left.
Distance transforms the city into points and connections. Individual places become density rather than separately legible sites. The image reveals both the possibilities and limits of an overview, while the small skyward streak suggests movement beyond the urban field.
