A closer look at the work

A dense field of small lights fills the nocturnal plain. On the right, a dark rocky rise interrupts the illuminated city; a narrow hazy sky lies above. Horizontal breadth turns streets and buildings into a continuous pattern. Brighter routes recede without a single centre organising the points of light.

From this distance, the city becomes an experience of extension. Countless places remain present but cannot be told apart as individual stories. The dark slope sets an irregular boundary against the illuminated field. Built pattern and less legible terrain reveal human density while exposing the limits of overview: much becomes visible, little personally accessible.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
