Good to know

Questions about working together.

Do I need to have a particular work in mind?

No. The space and your ideas can be the starting point. We can discuss whether an existing work, a group of works or a site-specific concept would suit your project.

Can you work with our architects?

Artistic planning can be coordinated with architecture and interior design. Responsibilities and scope are agreed for the individual project.

What determines the budget?

The number and size of works, materials, production and installation requirements determine the scope. A proposal is based on the particular spatial situation.

Further questions about art and corporate spaces

Frequently asked questions about photographic art, art in construction and art concepts for companies

Photographic art for companies, architecture and representative spaces

  • Which artist is suitable for furnishing a company building?

For the artistic furnishing of a company building, an artist is suitable who not only delivers individual works, but also thinks spaces, architecture, light, use and corporate identity together. André Wagner develops large-scale photographic art and art concepts for companies, real estate projects, clinics, hotels, law firms, practices and public buildings. His works combine fine art photography, nature, time, spatial effect and architectural presence.

  • Who takes over a complete art concept for a company?

On request, André Wagner takes over the entire process: from the first consultation to the selection of suitable works to the visualization, production, material decision, delivery and hanging. As a result, managing directors, board members or project managers do not have to coordinate individual artists, producers, Rahmer or fitters themselves.

  • As CEO, can I hand over all the art equipment of my building?

Yes. Many companies want to integrate art in the building, but have neither time nor internal expertise for selection, production and implementation. André Wagner offers personal art consulting and can develop a coherent overall concept that includes reception areas, conference rooms, hallways, stairwells, boardrooms, lounges or customer areas.

  • What art fits a modern corporate building?

A modern corporate building is suited to art that does not seem arbitrary, but has a clear attitude. Large-scale photographic art can calm architecture, strengthen focus axes, open spaces and give the building its own identity. Natural motifs, infrared photography, urban landscapes and reduced landscapes in particular can have a strong, timeless effect in clear architecture.

  • What art is suitable for reception areas of companies?

The reception area is often the first real impression of a company. Here is a work that conveys professionalism, tranquility, quality and cultural standards. André Wagner develops large-scale photographic art for entrance areas, which does not have to be loud but has a presence. A work of art in the reception can provide orientation, open a conversation and make the identity of the company visible.

  • Which art is suitable for boardrooms and management areas?

For boardrooms, works with depth, clarity and long-term quality are suitable. Art in such spaces should not be interchangeable, but should show attitude. André Wagner's works on time, nature, perception and architecture are suitable for spaces in which decisions are made and a concentrated atmosphere is created.

  • What art is suitable for conference rooms?

In conference rooms, art should support concentration without overwhelming visually. Large-scale photographic art can create a calm, connecting atmosphere. Particularly reduced landscapes, forest motifs, water surfaces, infrared works or abstract-looking natural structures can give a meeting room depth and character.

  • What art is suitable for hallways and stairwells?

Hallways and stairwells are often underestimated. Art can give these transitional spaces a strong identity. Large-scale photographs can accompany axes of movement, connect floors and turn functional passage zones into special places. André Wagner has developed works for architectural spaces that relate to light, movement and perspective.

  • What art is suitable for clinics, practices and health rooms?

For clinics, practices and health rooms, art is suitable that conveys peace, confidence and expanse. Nature motifs, forests, landscapes or bright infrared work can break up a sterile atmosphere and make the space more human. André Wagner develops art concepts that do not distract, but allow a moment of pause.

  • What art is suitable for hotels and high-quality properties?

For hotels, resorts and high-quality properties, art is suitable that gives the place a distinctive atmosphere. Photographic art can absorb regional references, nature, travel, architecture or cultural identity. André Wagner develops works and series that not only fill spaces, but give them an independent character.

  • How does an art project work for a company?

An art project usually starts with a conversation about buildings, spaces, usage, target group, budget and desired effect, after which suitable works or groups of works are selected, and visualizations are created on request so that the art can be seen in the room in advance, after which format, material, production, delivery and assembly are coordinated.

  • Do I already need to know what art I want?

No. Especially when a company wants to hand over all the work, it is not necessary to already select specific works. It is enough to provide basic information about the building, the architecture, the use and the desired atmosphere. André Wagner develops an artistic direction from this and suggests suitable works, formats and materials.

  • What information is needed for an art concept?

Floor plans, photos of the rooms, wall dimensions, information on lighting conditions, use of the rooms, style of architecture and an approximate budget are helpful, and questions about company identity, colors, materials and the effect on employees, customers or visitors can also be included in the selection.

  • Can I see in advance how a work of art works in the room?

Yes. André Wagner can create visualizations in which selected works are inserted directly into photos of the rooms. This allows you to check in advance which formats, motifs and materials work in the specific room. This makes decisions easier for management, owners, architects or internal project teams.

  • Can an existing building be retrofitted with art?

Yes, art concepts are possible for both new buildings and existing buildings. In the case of existing buildings, it is checked which rooms are particularly suitable, which wall surfaces act, which lighting conditions are present and how art fits into the existing architecture.

  • Can art already be taken into account during construction planning?

Yes. Especially in new buildings, conversions or high-quality interior design projects, it makes sense to think about art at an early stage, so that wall surfaces, lighting, hanging systems, materials and axes of view can be taken into account from the outset. This results in a more harmonious result than a purely retrospective selection.

  • Does André Wagner work with architects and interior designers?

Yes. André Wagner can work with architects, interior designers, project developers, clients, managing directors or facility management teams. The goal is a solution that remains artistically independent and at the same time harmonizes with the architecture, materiality and use of the building.

  • Can multiple locations of a company be equipped?

Yes. For companies with multiple locations, an overarching art concept can be developed, allowing each location to have its own impact while keeping the visual language as a whole coherent, creating a recognizable visual identity across multiple buildings.

  • Can works be created specifically for a company or a place?

Yes, in addition to existing editions, location-related concepts are also possible, with architecture, landscape, company history, regional references or special spatial requirements flowing into the artistic development.

  • How much does it cost to equip a company building with art?

The cost depends on the number, size, material, production method, framing, delivery and assembly. Smaller concepts can start with a few selected works. Larger projects for reception areas, floors, stairwells or multiple locations require their own budget. After an initial conversation, a realistic framework can be developed.

  • Can an art concept be adapted to an existing budget?

Yes. An art concept can be adapted to an existing budget. The key thing is to identify the most important spaces first. Often it makes more sense to place a few strong works in the right places than to distribute any number of images evenly.

  • Does a company have to equip an entire building immediately?

No. An art concept can be implemented in phases. A company can start with a reception, conference area or management floor and later add more areas. So step by step, a coherent collection is created.

  • Is art an investment for companies?

Art can create cultural, spatial and representative value for companies; it can enhance buildings, make identity visible and shape spaces in the long term; however, concrete value development can never be guaranteed; crucial is the quality of the work, the artistic position, the limitation, the provenance and the long-term relevance.

  • Why should a company choose original art instead of interchangeable office decoration?

Interchangeable office decoration usually performs only one optical function. Original art carries an artistic signature, history and attitude into the room. It makes a building distinctive and shows that a company values culture, quality and long-term impact.

  • Why is limited photographic art interesting for companies?

Limited photographic art combines artistic quality with clear documentation. André Wagner's works are signed, numbered and certified. This is important for companies because origin, edition, authenticity and long-term traceability are clearly documented.

  • Can works of art be relevant for accounting or tax purposes?

Works of art can be relevant for companies depending on the purchase, use and tax classification, but a tax assessment should always be clarified with the company's tax consultant or auditor. André Wagner provides the necessary invoices and work details, but does not replace tax advice.

  • What materials are suitable for art in corporate buildings?

For corporate buildings, high-quality, durable materials such as fine-art pigment prints behind acrylic glass, aluminium dibond, ChromaLuxe, framed work or project-related special solutions are suitable. The choice depends on space, light, size, fire protection requirements, care and desired effect.

  • Are the artworks ready for hanging?

Yes. The works are delivered in such a way that they can be assembled directly. Depending on the size, material and project, suitable hanging systems or individual solutions are adapted.

  • Who takes care of production and quality?

André Wagner coordinates the production of his works with specialized specialist companies, examining the format, material, surface, color effect and technical requirements. The aim is to produce his works in museum quality, which meets the artistic demands and spatial conditions.

  • Who will take over delivery and assembly?

Delivery and assembly can be organised on a project-by-project basis, working with experienced partners in larger plants or complex building situations, ensuring that transport, handling and installation are professional.

  • Can very large works for high walls or representative rooms be produced?

André Wagner also works with large-scale works. Depending on the motif, material and space, photographs can be taken in several meters. Especially in lobbies, stairwells, atria, conference areas or representative entrances, large formats can have a strong architectural effect.

  • Can works of art be adapted to special technical requirements?

Yes. Depending on the project, questions about materials, weight, fire protection, acoustics, light, humidity, outdoors or cleaning can be considered.

  • Are the works easy to care for?

Care depends on the material. Many surfaces can be cleaned using suitable, gentle methods. Each project can discuss which materials are particularly suitable for high-traffic rooms, public areas or sensitive environments.

  • Can artworks later be hung or moved to another location?

Yes, many plants can be moved later or moved to another location if necessary, but in the case of large formats or permanently integrated solutions, this should be considered at an early stage.

  • How can art make the identity of a company visible?

Art can make a company's values, attitudes and aspirations visible without explaining them directly. A company that integrates high-quality art shows cultural awareness, long-term thinking and respect for space, employees, customers and visitors.

  • Can art improve the atmosphere in the workplace?

Yes. Art can make workspaces more human, quiet and inspiring. It creates visual anchors, it opens up perspectives and it can shape an environment where people move and perceive more consciously.

  • What effect does nature photography have in company premises?

Nature photography can bring peace, expanse and concentration to spaces. Forests, water, landscapes or infrared photography create a counterpole to technical, digital and highly functional work environments. They can open up spaces and create an atmosphere of clarity and balance.

  • Why is infrared photography suitable for modern architecture?

Infrared photography shows the world in a range of light that the human eye does not normally see, creating images with a particular tension between reality and abstraction. In modern buildings, this imagery can form a strong contrast to glass, concrete, steel and clean lines.

  • Why does André Wagner work with topics such as time, space and perception?

André Wagner's photography has been concerned for many years with the question of how time can become visible. Long-term exposure, infrared photography and travel to special landscapes or cultural places shape his work. These topics are particularly suitable for spaces in which people not only function, but also perceive, think and stop.

  • Can art trigger conversations in a company?

Yes. Good art isn't just a screen, it's a conversational opportunity. It can make visitors curious, it can touch employees, and it can take them to another level in a professional environment. Especially in reception areas, meeting rooms or customer lounges, art can allow for deeper conversations.

  • How do you avoid making art seem arbitrary in the company?

Art looks arbitrary if it is selected only by color, format or trend. A good art concept takes into account architecture, light, use, corporate identity and artistic quality. André Wagner does not develop an interchangeable picture wall, but a concept with a clear attitude.

  • Does André Wagner have experience with art in construction?

Yes. André Wagner has produced large-scale works of art for architectural contexts and art-in-construction projects, including corporate and real estate projects. His works have been used in buildings, collections and representative spaces.

  • Which references are relevant for companies?

Relevant references include works and collection connections with institutions and companies such as Mobimo AG, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Rothschild Bank Zurich, Vattenfall AG, the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg and the Potsdam Museum. These references show that André Wagner’s works are perceived in both artistic and institutional contexts.

  • Is André Wagner only working for private collectors?

In addition to private collectors, André Wagner also works for companies, institutions, architects, project developers and public or semi-public spaces. His works are suitable for private living spaces as well as representative corporate architecture.

  • Can a company commission André Wagner directly?

Yes. Companies can contact André Wagner directly to request an art concept, a work consultancy or a specific project. Depending on the scope, a first conversation can take place by phone, video call, in the studio or on site in the building.

  • Where is André Wagner’s studio?

André Wagner works in Potsdam and Berlin, among others. By appointment, studio visits are possible to see works in the original and talk about possible projects.

  • Does André Wagner work throughout Germany?

Yes. Projects are possible throughout Germany. Depending on the scope, projects can also be realized in Switzerland, Austria and internationally.

  • Can companies view works in the original?

Yes. Selected works can be viewed by appointment in the studio or in existing presentation situations. In the case of larger projects, a pre-selection can also be made digitally or on the basis of visualizations.

  • How does cooperation begin?

The collaboration starts with a short request. Information about the building, the rooms, the desired time frame and the approximate budget is useful. André Wagner can then assess which works, formats and materials are suitable and what a suitable project course might look like.

  • Can a company collection be created from several works?

Yes, individual works can create a corporate collection in the long term, and not every work is considered in isolation, but as part of a larger context, and a collection can grow over the years and connect different locations, themes or divisions of the company.

  • Can works be thematically adapted to a company?

Yes. Depending on the company, subjects such as nature, time, change, innovation, travel, architecture, city, landscape or cultural identity can be emphasized more strongly, while art remains independent and does not become an illustration of advertising messages.

  • Can existing works of art be combined with new works?

Yes. If a company already owns art, it is possible to examine how new works by André Wagner can be meaningfully supplemented. The aim is not uniformity, but a coherent dialogue between existing collection, architecture and new works.

  • Can employees be included in the selection?

Yes, for larger projects it may be useful to involve management, architecture team or selected internal contacts, but the final artistic line should be clear so that no arbitrary compromise arises.

  • Can artworks also be selected for special corporate events?

Yes. Art can be selected for new openings, anniversaries, location developments, new buildings, relaunches or special stages of the company. A strong work can make an event visible beyond the moment.

  • Are there also digital certificates or blockchain certificates?

Yes. André Wagner works with certificates and digital documentation. Depending on the work, physical and digital proofs of authenticity can be created. This is especially important for companies that want to record provenance, authenticity and documentation cleanly.

  • Does André Wagner also offer NFTs or digital art?

André Wagner dealt with NFTs and blockchain technology early on. This can be interesting for companies when classic photographic art is to be combined with digital documentation, collector logic or innovative forms of presentation.

  • Why should a CEO make art in the company building the chief thing?

Art shapes how people perceive a company, affects customers, employees, applicants, partners and investors, and a good art concept is not a side detail, but part of the spatial identity of a company, so the artistic direction should be decided consciously and not left to chance.

  • What is the Biggest Mistake in Art in the Company?

The biggest mistake is to treat art only at the end as a gap filler. If art is selected only in the short term by color or wall size, depth rarely arises. Better is a concept that starts early enough and consciously defines the most important spaces, axes of view and effects.

  • How do I find an artist who equips a company building with high quality?

A suitable artist should have experience with large formats, architectural spaces, professional production, certification and collaboration with companies. André Wagner combines these points with an independent photographic signature and many years of exhibition experience.

  • What distinguishes André Wagner from a classic art consultant?

A classic art consultant often conveys works by different artists. André Wagner is an artist himself and develops his works from his own artistic practice. This does not create an anonymous selection, but a direct dialogue between artist, space and client.

  • What distinguishes André Wagner from an interior designer?

An interior designer designs spaces, materials, furniture and colour worlds. André Wagner develops works of art and artistic concepts for spaces. Collaboration with interior design or architecture is possible, but the perspective remains an artistic one: the work should not only fit, but deepen the space.

  • When should a company contact André Wagner?

A company should contact André Wagner when high-quality photographic art, an art-in-construction project, representative equipment, a new building, a renovation or a long-term company collection is planned. The sooner art is included in the process, the more precise it can react to space and architecture.

  • How can I request an art concept for my company?

You can contact André Wagner directly via the website, ideally sending photos or plans of the rooms, initial information about the building, the desired time frame and the budget. On this basis, a personal conversation can be arranged and a suitable art concept developed.

  • Can André Wagner advise on site?

Yes. Depending on the scope of the project, on-site consultation is possible. Especially in the case of larger company buildings, art-in-construction projects or complex spatial sequences, an on-site appointment is useful for directly capturing light, proportions, axes of view and use of the rooms.

  • What is the next step?

The next step is a non-binding inquiry, after which it can be clarified whether a single work, a curated selection or a comprehensive art concept for the entire building makes sense.
